Before you can pursue your CLP, you’ll need to resolve any outstanding tickets, fines, fees, or tolls that may be affecting your license. Taking care of these issues early will help clear the path and avoid delays in your journey toward a commercial driving career.
While FreeWorld does not guarantee financial assistance for these issues, there is a clear process for requesting support.

We encourage you to research any tickets, fines, fees, tolls, or other issues that may be affecting your license as early as possible. The more you know, the easier it will be to take informed next steps.
Start by answering these key questions:
- What specific steps do you need to take to get your driver's license back in good standing?
- Are there any payment plans available?
- Have you contacted the court clerk or the county to ask about time served, dismissal, or reduction options?
- Will you need an SR-22 (proof of insurance)?
- If your license was suspended, do you owe any reinstatement fees?
- Do you have any unresolved tickets, fines, fees, or tolls in other states?

Ready to Request Support? Here's How!
To request support for your tickets, fines, fees, tolls, or any other issues impacting your driver's license, simply let us know through your student portal or by texting or calling us at 408-668-3608. We will then send you the Driver's License Assistance Request Form link.
What to Expect on the Form:
The form is designed to gather the details we need to understand your situation. You will be asked questions about:
- Your driving history
- How much you owe
- The steps you need to take to get your driver's license back in good standing
Important Requirements for Financial Support Consideration: To be considered for financial support through FreeWorld, you'll need to complete a few key steps:
- Provide us with a copy of your driving record showing the last 7 to 10 years of driving history: Obtaining Your Driving Record
- Provide us with documentation of your tickets, fines, fees, tolls, or other charges.
- Complete all of FreeWorld's pre-permit classes.
- Pass all of FreeWorld's pre-permit tests with an 80% or higher.
What Happens After You Submit the Form?
Once you submit the Driver's License Assistance Request Form, a success coach will text you within three business days with an update on your request.
