Before You Can Schedule Classes:
Make sure you’ve completed everything on the “Welcome & Orientation” page in your Student Portal. This checklist must be 100% finished before you can move forward.

If you’re still gathering your:

Valid in-state driver's license
-
Birth certificate
-
Social Security card
-
Proof of residency
That’s totally fine. You can still schedule and take your pre-permit classes. You’ll upload your identity documents after you’ve completed your classes and tests

How to Schedule Your Pre-Permit Classes
1. Click “Go to the class page” in your Student Portal.
2. Click the black arrow next to “Sign up or reschedule.”
3. Choose the class date and time that works for you
After You Schedule Your Class
You’ll receive a text and an email with your class Zoom link.
You can also access the Zoom link directly from your Student Portal
Just return to the class page and click the “Join Zoom” button to enter the class.
After You Attend the Class
You’ll unlock:
- Study materials

Practice test (you can take this as many times as you’d like)
🚨 Heads up: The practice test is optional and for study purposes only. It does not count as completing your Test.
Taking the Class Test
Once you’re ready:

Go to the section that says "Take the test"

You must score 80% or better to pass.

You can take the test as many times as needed until you pass.
What Happens After You Finish All Classes
Once you complete all 5 classes and tests (or 6 if you're in Texas), your Student Portal will unlock a prompt to upload your identity documents.
You’ll need to upload:

A valid in-state driver's license

Your birth certificate
-
Your Social Security card
-
Proof of residency
