Step-by-Step Guide to Upload Your Identity Documents to the FreeWorld Mobile App

Step 1: Log in to the FreeWorld Mobile App

• After attending orientation, open the FreeWorld Mobile App and log in.

Step 2: Review the List of Documents in the Documents Center

• Once logged in, tap the hamburger menu in the upper right-hand corner

• Select Documents Center

Step 3: Check What Documents You Need

• Documents that are needed will be highlighted and ready for uploads (Following orientation, you should see Birth Certificate, Driver's License, Proof of Residence, and Social Security Card)

• Documents that are not yet needed will be grayed out

Step 4: Determine if you Need Assistance with Certain Documents

• If you are not in possession of one of the documents ready for upload, select Need Help Getting Documents? located at the top of the list

  • Birth Certificate: You need the original or a certified copy (not a photocopy).

  • Social Security Card: Must be the actual card.

  • Proof of Residence: You’ll need two documents, but will only upload one now.

  • Driver’s License: You’ll be asked whether you have one from the state you currently live in, and whether there are any issues with it (e.g., fines, suspensions).

Step 5: Review Required Documents

• You’ll see a reminder of all the documents needed for the program:

  • Driver’s License

  • Social Security Card

  • Proof of Residence

  • Birth Certificate

  • DOT Physical Permit

  • CDL A

Step 6: Begin Uploads

• Determine which document you are ready to upload and locate it on the list

• Click Upload to view detailed instructions for the upload process.

Step 8: Choose or Take a Photo

• If you already have a clear photo of your license, select “Choose from Library” to upload it from your device.

• If not, select Take Photo and use your phone’s camera to take a photo on the spot. (Note: You may need to go into your device's settings to grant camera access.)

Step 9: Confirm Image

• A preview of the photo will appear. If it’s clear and correct, click “Upload your photo.”

• If it’s not clear or it’s the wrong file, you can remove the image and upload a new one.

Step 10: Upload Confirmation

• You’ll see a confirmation screen once the upload is complete.

• Allow up to 24 hours for processing.

Step 11: Continue Upload

• Upload all remaining documents in your possession. Reminder: If you need assistance obtaining any documents listed, please select Need Help Getting Documents? located at the top of the list and follow the steps to request help.
