How to Access Your FreeWorld Payments in PayPal
Once you've completed your classes, uploaded all required documents, and requested your DOT Physical & Permit Test funds in the Student Portal checklist, you’ll receive a payout from FreeWorld via PayPal.
Here’s how to find and access that money:
✅ Step 1: Log In to PayPal
Once you receive a text or email notification that money has been sent, open the PayPal app and sign in.

Right away, you should see a message stating “Money is waiting for you.”
Tap on the notification to view your available funds.
💸 Step 2: Choose How to Use Your Funds
PayPal gives you two options:
Option 1: Keep the Money in PayPal
Great choice if you have a PayPal Debit Card.
You can use your funds directly from your PayPal balance.
- Need to order a PayPal debit card? Click HERE (Keep in mind that this can take up to 2 weeks)
Option 2: Transfer to Your Bank Account
Tap “Transfer to Bank” in the app.
Select the free transfer option (it may take 1–3 business days).

If this is your first time transferring, you’ll need to link your bank account.
Just enter your bank account and routing number.
Once linked, you can transfer your funds anytime.

👀 Step 3: View Payment Details
Inside the PayPal app, tap on “Wallet” then “Activity.”

You’ll see your payment history, including:
Amount received
Who it’s from (FreeWorld)
Notes explaining what the funds are for (e.g., “DOT Physical/ permit funds”)
That’s it! You’re all set to access and manage your FreeWorld payments through PayPal.

👀 Ordering a PayPal Debit Card

You can request a physical card in the PayPal app at no cost. To request a physical card:
- Open the PayPal app and tap your PayPal balance.
- Select your PayPal Debit Card.
- Tap Request a physical card.

👀 What happens if you don't see the funds in your PayPal?
If you are not seeing the funds in your account after we have sent them, it may be because you need to contact PayPal to verify your account OR you may need to claim the funds from the email you were sent. If you need further assistance with your account, please contact PayPal Customer Support at 1 (888) 221-1161 to get support in accessing your funds.
NOTE:
- You will not be able to request funds until you have completed all classes and tests in your student portal AND uploaded your identity documents.
- FreeWorld does not have access to your PayPal account, we can only send funds to your account using your email. If you have PayPal related inquiries, please contact them at the number provided earlier in this article or visit their help center at https://www.paypal.com/us/cshelp/personal
