PayPal is how FreeWorld sends you funds, so it’s important to set it up correctly. Follow these steps to download and create (or log into) your PayPal account:

✅ Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Click the “How to use PayPal” checklist item in your Student Portal
2. Watch the "Set up PayPal app" video in full. Once the video is complete, click the green button that says "Click here to go download PayPal.
3. Once you are directed to your App store, tap “Download,” “Get,” or “Install” to install the PayPal app on your device. (See directions on how to sign in or sign up for PayPal at the end of this article)
4. Go back to your checklist once this is complete and select "Yes" when asked "Did you set up PayPal on this device yet?"
5. You will be directed to watch a video on "How to use PayPal." After watching the video in full, a green button will appear saying "Click here to move on", click this button.
6. Once you get this message, you have completed your PayPal install and are ready to move on to your Permit Training.

If you already have a PayPal account:
Tap “Log In” and enter your email or phone number and password.

If this is your first time using PayPal:
Tap “Sign Up.”
IMPORTANT: We strongly recommend using the same email address you used to sign up for FreeWorld. If you need to use a different email address for PayPal, please submit a request HERE.
Create a secure password and enter your phone number.
PayPal will send a verification code by text or email. Enter the code in the app to verify your account.
Once your PayPal account is set up and verified, you’re ready to receive funds from FreeWorld
NOTE:
- We suggest setting up your PayPal account using the SAME email address that you use for FreeWorld. If you cannot, please be sure to let us know.
- You will not be able to request funds until you have completed all classes and tests in your student portal AND uploaded your identity documents.
- FreeWorld does not have access to your PayPal account, we can only send funds to your account using your email. Any holds

You can always find the Student Portal by going to app.freeworld.org in the internet browser on your phone, tablet, or computer.
