Uber Rides After Obtaining Your CDL-A

🚦 How to Know if Your FreeWorld Ride Request Will Be Approved or Denied 🚦

Starting a new CDL-A trucking job is exciting, and FreeWorld is here to help you get on the road smoothly! Below are the simple criteria we use to decide whether your ride request qualifies for our complimentary Uber service during those crucial first weeks.

✅ Approved Requests

1. 🚚 Trucking-Related
   • The ride must be directly tied to your new CDL-A role (e.g., reporting to orientation, safety training, or first dispatch).
2. 📄 CDL-A Requirement
   • You hold a valid CDL-A and are beginning a position that specifically requires it.
3. 📍 Within 30 Miles
   • Pickup and drop-off locations must be less than 30 miles apart to qualify.
4. 🗓️ First Few Weeks Only
   • Complimentary rides are valid for your initial onboarding period (typically the first 2–3 weeks).

⛽️ Got a Car? We’ve Got Gas Money!

• 🚗 Use Your Vehicle
  You don’t have to rely on Uber—if you have a personal car, you can choose gas assistance instead.
• 💵 Up to $120 Total
  We’ll provide $60 per week for two weeks (a total of $120) to cover fuel for interviews, orientation, and early shifts.
• 📝 Easy Opt-In
  Just indicate your preference when you request rides, and we’ll arrange the gas stipend—no extra paperwork required.

❌ Denied Requests

• ✂️ Non-Trucking Trips
  Personal errands, social outings, or off-duty travel do not qualify.
• 🛣️ Over 30 Miles
  Any leg of your trip exceeding a 30-mile radius will not be covered.
• ⏳ Beyond the Trial Period
  Once your first few weeks are complete and you’re settled in, the free ride benefit ends.
• 🚫 Non-CDL-A Roles
  Positions not requiring a CDL-A license aren’t eligible for this program.

📋 Terms You Should Know

• Limited Duration: These rides are a bridge, designed to help you focus on learning your new role, not as a permanent commute solution.

• Stay on Track: If your onboarding runs longer than expected, reach out to your FreeWorld Success Coach—extensions may be granted on a case-by-case basis.
