Frequently Asked Questions ⍰
My license expired back in 2005 after I went to prison. Do I need to get my license back first?
This is a great question! To be eligible for FreeWorld, you must have had your driver's license for at least six months at some point in your lifetime. If you had your license for at least 6 months before it expired in 2005, you can continue with FreeWorld and get your license again.
I had a driver's license permit in 2010, but never got my regular license. Am I still eligible?
If this is the first time you will get your standard driver's license, you will need to have it for at least 6 months to be eligible for FreeWorld. Get your driver's license and let us know once you have had it for 6 months!
My driver's license was suspended 3 years ago for an unpaid ticket.
You will need to resolve any unpaid tickets, fines, fees, or tolls on your driver's license before pursuing your Commercial Learner's Permit or CDL. If your license was suspended, contact the DMV or DPS to find out what steps you will need to take to get your license reinstated. You will likely need to pay reinstatement fees in addition to paying off any other tickets, fines, fee, or tolls.

I have my CDL B. Can I still work with you all to get my Class A?
Yes, you can go through the FreeWorld program to get your CDL A.
I had my CDL A back in 2022, but it was downgraded after my medical card expired.
We recommend contacting your local DMV or DPS to confirm whether you’ll need to attend trucking school again. In many cases, you may only need to pay a fee or retake the CDL test, which is often much more affordable than going through school again.
If it turns out that you do need to re-enroll in trucking school, we’re here to help. Just be sure to upload your valid standard driver’s license when prompted in the Student Portal.
